Cleaning and care of X-halo
Care
- The X-halo is a precise medical device and so should be treated with care
- Children under the age of 12 should only use the device under the supervision of an adult
- X-halo is splash proof but should not be immersed in water at any time
- Each nozzle contains a one way valve, if this valve breaks or stops functioning you should purchase a new nozzle
Daily cleaning of the nozzle & fan unit:
After each measurement, remove the nozzle and fan unit. and clean by rubbing with a soft cloth which immersed in a solution of warm water and mild disinfectant (or 70% ethyl alcohol). Make sure all parts are dry before the next measurement.
Disinfecting the sensor:
The sensor should be periodically disinfected. This is done by rubbing with a soft cloth which has been immersed in disinfectant (see disinfection table below):
